403 Labs is a new startup security consulting and vulnerability management provider. Offering a combination of quality security forensic investigations (like a Colombo for the security world) and their vulnerability management product they have an extremely high level of expertise in the realm of security services.

For their brand and identity, 403 labs wanted to develop a symbol and word logo and had previous designers try but to no avail. After studying the industry and their competitors, we recommended capitalizing on the strength of the first portion of their name, 403, to brand in the minds of their customers. The three numbers created an even and memorable shape that could be utilized in many different ways. The result was to create a ‘badge-like’ symbol with high contrast numbers of 403. In addition, sub-brands could easily be created to accompany 403 Labs’ future plans for partnerships and security products.
